Even going out can feel difficult ,just thinking about stepping through the front door can bring on sweating, a racing heart, and that feeling that you can’t breathe properly.

On the outside, you may look capable and confident, but inside you feel anxious, frightened and overwhelmed.

You can appear to be managing well, holding everything together, while underneath you feel worn out, scared and alone.

You’re tired of being the strong one, tired of pushing through and quietly wondering if you’ll ever feel safe and enjoy life again.

 

 Hello i'm Rachel Danetree, and I work with women who feel anxious, overwhelmed or caught in cycles of stress and panic.

I’m known locally in Thrapston as “the hat lady” you’ll often see me out cycling in bright colours. My work is based here and online, offering a calm and supportive space for women who feel stressed, anxious and panicky.

I’ve experienced anxiety and PTSD myself, so I understand what it’s like when life feels out of control and unsafe in your body.

Breathwork became a turning point for me, helping me feel calmer and safe in my body again. That experience is what led me to train professionally and now support others in a gentle and practical way.

Alongside my private practice, I also work with organisations supporting training and bereavement services, and I continue to deepen my experience in trauma-informed approaches while training  to be a counsellor.

How I help

I support women who feel anxious, stressed or panicky using breathwork and EFT in a gentle, practical way. These sessions are not about forcing yourself to think differently or pushing through how you feel. They are about helping your body settle so your nervous system can start to feel safer and calmer again.
 
We work at your pace. Some people want support with leaving the house or going out again. Others want help with sleep, constant worry or that feeling of being overwhelmed by everyday life. Sessions are available online or in person in Thrapston in my cosy Victorian therapy room. It is calm, private and far from clinical, with blankets and a warm, homely feel so you can feel at ease.
